This site was created shortly after my five-year-old son became infatuated with everything Lego. We used to have a regular Sunday morning routine of going out for pancakes and then shopping at Toy R Us or Target for the latest, coolest Hotwheels cars. This was great for me, as Hotwheels were about a dollar each and if my son had a particularly good week we might pick up a 5-pack which still made this a pretty inexpensive hobby. This lasted for a while until a favorite Aunt gave him a Lego set.
At first his Lego habit wasn't too bad. You can pick up a lot of cool sets for under $10 but soon he was wanting more and more, and he was wanting the bigger sets. I tried telling him that we can get a TON of Hotwheels for the same cost as the biggest Mars Mission Lego set but he wasn't having anything to do with that.
My wife decided to check on eBay to see if there were many sellers dealing in Lego sets and, holy cow, were there ever. There are literally thousands available and with a little shopping and bidding savvy, you can find some great deals and even pick up the newest sets.
After a few auction purchases I started wondering how many other parents like me are out there. Apparently there are plenty as there is a lot of bidding activity on a lot of the sets. That's when I decided to create a site that might make it a little easier for the average shopper to find the best deals.
